4.2.2 Release Announcement

The NTP Public Services Project is pleased to announce the release of NTP Reference Implementation version 4.2.2 from the NTP Project.

This is primarily a bug fix and minor enhancements release. Important new features include:

• An operational SNTP client
• Implementation of the current “goal state” of NTPv4
• Autokey improvements
• Improved IPv6 support
• Multicast mode now works on more platforms.
• New version numbering scheme
